Terror Twilight

We got the Spicy Eggs and the Fritters. They definitely did not disappoint! Everything was cooked to perfection. The location is pretty convenient and the service was great. Just a little disappointed with the pricing. We ended up paying $80+ for two people because we added bacon/avo (but the dishes would be a little boring without the add-ons). Still, would come back again when visiting Melbourne next!

One of my favourite Brekky spots in Collingwood! Their Spicy Green Eggs are hands down delicious and their coffees are great. This time I ordered a Chai Latte and it came with a side of honey, not many cafes or restaurants offer this so was super impressed. The staff were attentive and checked in frequently (but not too frequently) about whether I needed more coffees or anything else during my meal. The atmosphere was also relaxing and perfect for grabbing a bite and reading or working away.

Tried the build-your-own-bowl. Cool concept to create your own breakfast bowl but I have a thing with this. Your bowl and the portions will depend on the ingredients you choose ie tempura cauliflower I got 3 bits (albeit it was good tasting) vs my partner got 10 bits of breakfast potatoes (very good too). Don’t get the corn, almond, coriander salsa either, I got virtually a tablespoon of that and I’m not sure if I had any almond in it… my partner got the seasonal veggies which included premium veggies and it came with a lot as well. My bowl ended up with nearly half the portion as my partner, but we paid the same price $31 incl the protein (in this case salmon). Sooo expensive! Plus a coffee $7. Plus the weekend surcharge 11%. You will easily spend over $100 for 2. The wait is long as well. But it’s a very popular cafe with cool vibes. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Would I come back? Nope, I’ll pass. portioning needs improvement and flavour profile wasn’t worth it either

A delightful spot to enjoy breakfast, brunch or perhaps a lunch. I’m not sure where the name Terror Twilight came from as it doesn’t seem to fit my visit, which was more of a Satisfaction Morning sort of thing. Either way, I really enjoyed my visit. This venue is so good I would even recommend travelling from elsewhere in Melbourne to give it a try. Dirk travelled from Bendigo and said it was well worth the walk. I can recommend the green eggs because that is what I ate and I enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and even recommended the green eggs to me as I have now done for you. Thanks to all of the staff. I can’t see any reasons why this wouldn’t be a 5/5 rating, so there you have it.
